Welcome to the Friends of the Sacramento Public Library Website!

Friends of the Sacramento Public Library is a membership-supported, non-profit organization that advocates, fund-raises, and provides critical support for the Sacramento Public Library, branch libraries, the Bookmobile, and related literacy and educational programs.

This website is a hub to provide information to new and current members.

The Friends of Sacramento Public Library are critical to library services in the City and County of Sacramento, and the Cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Galt, Isleton, and Rancho Cordova. When public agencies are struggling with budget challenges, the Friends’ fundraising and volunteer efforts allow the library to continue to provide rich programming opportunities and keep fresh material on the shelves at local libraries.

We invite you to invest in the success of the library by volunteering time, donating books, and helping us raise funds for library programs, equipment, books, and materials. Together we can make a difference.
